Twelfth Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) held its 12th meeting on 18-20 March 2018 in Jakarta, followed by a stakeholder forum in Riau province.
The SAC reviews APRIL’s implementation of the Sustainable Forest Management Policy including landscape scale management and implementation of an expanded community forestry program as well as suppliers’ compliance with the policy.
In the Jakarta meeting, APRIL management also presented a report on the latest status of the company’s long-term work plan (RKU) and restoration plan. The meeting report is available for viewing and download here.
On 21 March, the SAC travels to Riau province to meet and held discussions with a range of stakeholders that includes local non-governmental organizations, government representatives, academics and the private sector.
The purpose of the meeting is for SAC members to gain firsthand information and inputs from Riau-based stakeholders on the 2018 SFMP 2.0 implementation assessment plan and its field check samples. The meeting summary of SAC’s stakeholder forum in Riau is available here.
