KPMG PRI Update Report on SFMP 2.0 Action Plan
The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) appointed KPMG Performance Registrar Inc. (KPMG PRI) to assess APRIL’s implementation of the Sustainable Forest Management Policy 2.0 that was launched in June 2015.
In response to the assessment report that was issued in December 2016, APRIL developed Action Plans to address KPMG PRI’s findings, which included three non-conformances and 28 opportunities for improvement. Both KPMG PRI’s 2016 Audit Report and the Final Action Plans are available on APRIL’s Sustainability Dashboard.
Between May and September 2017, KPMG undertook document and record reviews, interviews and field inspections to determine the status of the agreed Action Plans.
