APRIL has for years implement a strict no-burn rule on its concession areas but invest heavily on professional fire fighters and fire fighting equipments as every year it works to prevent fire from spreading into its forest plantations. Late fire detection means many hectares of burned acacia trees, APRIL’s main raw material.
